The Grain and Feed Trade Association (GAFTA) was established in 1971 after the merger of two associations: London Grain Trade Association (1878) and Cattle Breeding Production Trade Association (1906). Now GAFTA numbers 900 members from 80 countries of the world, there are importers, exporters, dealers, analysts, inspectors, expeditors, arbiters, banks and law companies among them. The main directions of the Association’s work are model contracts development and arbitration, trade policy and issues of its legal regulation, trainings and education. 7-8th of September 2005 AGA Partners - a partner of the II International Grain Conference Law firm AGA Partners became a partner of the II International Grain Conference “Let’s Trade Together”, which took place in Kiev on the 7-8th September 2005 and had been organized by the International Grain and Feed Trade Association GAFTA and Ukrainian Grain Association. More than 250 participants from more than 20 countries took part in the Conference. The main issues of the Conference were the features of Ukrainian grain business, search of new markets, situation and the perspectives of Ukraine in the international grain market, legal ensuring of the grain trade and disputes resolving in the GAFTA Arbitration.
