This year AGA Partners was represented by Managing Partner Aminat Suleymanova, and the Head of International Trade practice division Ivanna Dorichenko. About 500 delegates from 40 countries representing 300 companies took part in the forum. The conference was sponsored by agricultural companies, surveyors and banks, among them SGS, Holman Fenwick & Willan, Swiss Grain Traders and Aciter Inspection. 12-22nd of October 2007 12-22nd of October 2007 Mrs. Aminat Suleymanova, the Managing Partner of AGA Partners within the Open World program visited USA. After acquainting part of the program in Washington D.C., Ukrainian leaders took part in specialized intensive program: "Rule of Law" in Wichita, Kansas state. Open World program is held with the support of Leadership Center, sponsored by USA Congress. Program allowed Ukrainian delegates to learn about the U.S. judicial system, the jury-trial process, the adversarial system, plea-bargaining, the settlement of financial disputes, and law enforcement bodies' practice. Meetings with U.S. judges, Kansas bar association representatives, advocates gave opportunity for delegates to discuss on judicial independence and ethics, legislation and law enforcement, legal/judicial training. 5-7th of September 2007 On 5-7 th of September, 2007, Mrs. Aminat Suleymanova, the Managing Partner of AGA Partners, took part in the International Conference "Grain of Russia - 2007" in Rostov-on-Don, Russia. On 7th of September, Mrs. Aminat Suleymanova made a presentation Legal aspects of international grain trade. Specific issues in trading by CIF contracts. The number of participants was more than 273 delegates from 173 companies, representing 23 countries. Among them producers, grain-crops exporters and importers from CIS (Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Moldova) and other countries (Egypt, Monaco, Turkey, Albania and others), banks, survey and transport companies took part in conference. June 6-8, 2007 On June 6-8, 2007, in Kiev (Ukraine) a three-day Grade 2 Contracts and Dispute Settlement Training Course was held by Grain and Feed Trade Association (GAFTA). Aminat Suleymanova, Managing Partner of AGA Partners and Ivanna Dorichenko, Senior Associate of AGA Partners, participated in the course, which covered various aspects of contract liabilities of parties, payment terms and insurance, letters of credit and GAFTA arbitral procedures. May 29-30, 2007 The 6th International conference "Grain Forum-2007" has been held on May 29-30, 2007 in Odessa. The number of participants was about 300 persons from 25 countries. Aminat Suleymanova, Managing Partner of AGA Partners and Ivanna Dorichenko, the Head of International Trade practice of AGA Partners, took part in the work of the forum. On March 30, 2007 Mrs. Aminat Suleymanova made a presentation on peculiarities of the grain trade on CIF terms and Ivanna Dorichenko, in her turn, presented a paper on international experience of financing trade operations in the grain business. May 27th, 2007 Mrs. Aminat Suleymanova, the Managing Partner of AGA Partners, was elected the Vice-President of Ukrainian Bar Association (UBA). The Ukrainian Bar Association is an all-Ukrainian public organization of legal professionals in all fields of juridical profession aimed at defending justice and improvement of Ukrainian legislation, enhancement of lawyers' professional growth and advancement of legal awareness of public. 3-7th of April 2007 The 2nd International Grain Trading Summit organized by the Russian Grain Union has been held on April 3-7, 2007 in Sharm-El-Sheikh (Egypt) under support of the respective Ministries of Russian Federation, Egypt and Jordan. Ivanna Dorichenko, the Head of International Trade practice of AGA Partners, took part in the work of the Summit presenting a paper on current problems of international grain trade and possible solutions to their solving on April 5th, 2007. The paper received very positive feedback from the Summit participants, who included leading grain exporters, transport companies, representatives of port terminals, surveyors, representatives of state authorities. The reviews of current situation on the world and regional grain markets were presented by the leading analysts from Russia, European Union and the USA. 6-9th of March 2007 On 6-9th of March, 2007, Mrs. Aminat Suleymanova, the Managing Partner of AGA Partners, took part in the second international Trading Summit: grains&oilseeds which was held in Antalya (Turkey). On 9th of March Mrs. Aminat Suleymanova made a presentation on "useful legal aspects of international agricultural production trade". Number of participants totaled 273 persons from 172 companies from 30 countries. Official delegations from Ministry of Agriculture of Turkey, Turkish Grain Board and Jordanian Ministry of Food and Trade took part in summit work. January 2007 AGA Partners Law Firm was mentioned by Ukrainian Law Firms (A Handbook for Foreign Clients) 2006 edition in the list of the leading law firms at the Ukrainian market.
